My logo design

My Logo Design Process:  This project took time and energy. It had multiple steps in the process and had me create a large amount of different logos. The first step was to roughly sketch some ideas I had for the design. It took a couple days until I had an idea of what my logo could looks like. The next step was to bring everything sketched out onto Adobe Illustrator. Using the font myriad pro I edited the letters "ML" in different ways, and used recources such as the pen and curvature tools until I was happy with the way it looked.  After satisfied with the logo, I added different colors to see what it looked like in all styles. With editing, I found I liked the color on top of grey look. After top three choices were picked, I used an outline to see what each looked like as a final product.  Why I chose my logo: My final decision came to hot pink letters over a light grey circle and a very thin black outline. I chose...

Type anatomy

The project: I used adobe Illustrator to create this project. I first typed out my name in a large font and create lines to show the Cap height, X-height, and Baseline. I then labeled 10 different parts of the type anatomy in my name. What I learned: I learned many new things about using text in a design. To stay consistent, I copied the small text and moved it to make sure they were all the same size and font. I also learned what many of the parts of different fonts were.

Logo color designs project

Logo Color Schemes Analogous Subway uses the analogous colors of green and yellow. They probably chose these colors because they resemble being fresh. McDonalds uses the analogous colors of red and orange. The company probably chose these colors because they are warm, like their hot food, along with the color red makes people hungry. Complementary   Krispy Kreme uses the complementary colors of red and green. They choose these so possibly the words on the top would stand out behind the background. Fire fox uses the complementary colors blue and orange to make the fox stand out, and like the name implies, the bright orange color of the fox resembles fire. Warm Tostitos uses the warm colors of yellow, red, and orange in there logo because it may give off the feeling of a warm and happy party environment. Pringles uses the warm colors of red and yellow to also give out the party environment, so people will...

Color Wheel Project

Project: I started this project using adobe illustrator. I used new acsessories such as the selection tool, rectangle tool, and art board tool. After creating all of the shapes of he wheel and coloring them in order, starting with Primary colors, secondary colors, then tershiary colors. What I Learned: I had never used adobe illustrator before so everything in the process was new for me. I learned how to use many new tools and shortcuts. Also, I learned how to scale and take up the full imagine of the design, cutting off extra sides. I learned how to caption and move headings in order for the wheel to look good. How it went: The project went well for me. I learned lots of new tools. I would copy and move shapes next time I do this just so it is easy for all of them to be the same size. Overall I feel happy with the product.

Sidewalk chalk group project

Brainstorming I was excited to do this project because it is a good way to bond with new people and find things out about them. It was a success as I made 3 new friends.  We started by throwing out ideas of what we wanted our symbol to be. through everything, we ended with a piece of cheesecake, and said it had a deep meaning. Nevertheless, some of the reason was definitely because we simply liked cheesecake.  Final product When the day to draw came we worked well together but the drawing could have been more consistent with its colors. Next time I will try to stay a little more on task. Overall I had fun with this project and I am happy we did. :)
