Music Video Project

Our group chose the song "this is gospel" to remake for a music video. We chose this song because we enjoyed the actual music video, and the theme of the song was interesting. The actual music video had many visual things to look at. The theme of the song was breaking free from things and moving forward. We wanted to use these themes to create new visual representaions to the music video.
To start the project, we memorized the choreography of all the extra hands in the video. We chose Logan to be the main star as he was most similar to Brendon, the original singer, and Logan was a good actor. The team eventually looked for the best location to shoot, which ended up being in auditorium where it is dark. We rented bright lights to make the effect of the surgery scene better. Filming was the longest process. We redid many shots to get the best outcome.
I would call myself the director of the video, as I went through the process of telling everyone on the team what they needed to do for each shot. I also helped the camera man get the best and most accurate shot each scene. I also wrote down the choreography and eventually typed it out.
Other software we used, including the bright lights as mentioned, were a DSLR camera, camera stabilizer, and premier pro to edit the video.
I used a lot of leadership in this project. It also required lots of communication and making sure everyone was on the same page before filing anything, so there will not be any unneeded errors. Management was important to keep the project moving and stay on schedule to finish by the due date.
If I were to do this video again I would choose a video that was more achievable so we could make a better project. Still, I am impressed with what my group created seeing how we only had 4 people and limited technology.

My logo design

My Logo Design Process:  This project took time and energy. It had multiple steps in the process and had me create a large amount of different logos. The first step was to roughly sketch some ideas I had for the design. It took a couple days until I had an idea of what my logo could looks like. The next step was to bring everything sketched out onto Adobe Illustrator. Using the font myriad pro I edited the letters "ML" in different ways, and used recources such as the pen and curvature tools until I was happy with the way it looked.  After satisfied with the logo, I added different colors to see what it looked like in all styles. With editing, I found I liked the color on top of grey look. After top three choices were picked, I used an outline to see what each looked like as a final product.  Why I chose my logo: My final decision came to hot pink letters over a light grey circle and a very thin black outline. I chose...

CSS and CARP design

Introduction In this assignment I used the rules of CARP (contrast, alignment, repetition and proximity) to fix a generic html with a poem on it to make the newer, better looking, version of this page. Some differences included changing the text and background color to match the dog. I used the same colors for multiple areas on the page to make it look clean and the same all the way through. I also changed the size of text around the page it fit it better, and to wrap around the picture of the dog. Contrast Some differences referring to contrast included changing the text and background color to match the dog. I used the same colors for multiple areas on the page to make it look clean and the same all the way through. The darker brown text stood out against the light tan background. The black border around the page brought a neutral color that wasn't brown to the page, pulling the poem and other elements together. Alignment  To make the page aligned and flow all the...

High School Film Trailer

Project                 For this project I was tasked with recreating a movie trailer of a high school based movie. My group was assigned the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". We had the option of which official trailer we wanted to recreate. After some research, my group found the most reasonable trailer to make and started pre-production.                 Before we could start filming, there were many steps to make sure we could recreate the trailer perfectly. Unfortunately, we found that it could not be directly replicated as there were many shots that we couldn't do. I started with creating a story board of every scene in the edited trailer. Then, as a team, we wrote down all costumes and props. Finally, we cast rolls and made sure people would be available before giving them the part officially. Our group decided to keep most of the casting inside the group but we did get two adults and two students ...
